These paintings are made on stretched cotton, calico or canvas that has been primed with an archival, bovine-based hide glue. All are framed in narrow kiaat box frames.

WOODBLOCKS
The woodblocks are made using bending plywood. The plywood is carved by hand, then sealed, before being painted with oil paint. The paint is sanded and carved into; this process is repeated until the piece is finished. Each woodblock is sealed with a polyurethane-based varnish. All of the woodblocks are mounted on a curved backing structure; they are not flat. To see the curves, please view installation images of the exhibition.
